Vanessa Maiorano is a mum of two, a children’s book author, a business consultant, and someone who knows what it means to fight for your life while still showing up for your family.

Shortly after giving birth to my son, I was diagnosed with Hodgkin lymphoma. I had a toddler at home, a newborn in my arms, and within days, I was undergoing chemotherapy. That was only the beginning.

Over the next three years, I went through 17 surgeries, countless hospital stays, a second diagnosis of breast cancer, and serious complications like meningitis, all while trying to stay present for my children during their most formative years.

I’m here because I believe in sharing the truth, even when it’s raw. I believe in the power of lived experience and the impact our stories can have on others. If my journey offers comfort or courage to just one person walking a similar path, then that means everything to me.
